ALL the things!

I forgot to blog for a while and now I have ALL the news to share! Firstly, much to my surprise, I am to be the recipient of a first class honours degree! Although note to self: check library fines (one cannot graduate whilst indebted to the college!). I’ve also been into the school where I will be teaching and really like it, which is a relief! It’s only just sunk in that when I turn up in September I’m going to be an actual legit grown up teacher. Not a pupil or a student or a work experience kid, but an actual full-time salaried teacher. It’s both terrifying and exciting. I also had a delightful weekend when ALL the guests descended for Jodie’s birthday, and it was great to get to see my lovely friends :)

July will be making an entrance in just a few hours, and it brings with it two incredibly exciting anniversaries and I’m feeling jolly optimistic.

So to finish, some calendar quotes, including one of my favourite quotes of all time (the Anne Frank one) :)
“Nobody can be uncheered with a balloon”- Piglet, Winnie the Pooh
“The art of being happy lies in the power of extracting happiness from common things”- Henry Ward Beecher
“Think of all the beauty that’s still in and around you and be happy”- Anne Frank
“Throw yourself into some work you believe in with all your heart, live for it, die for it, and you will find happiness that you had thought could never be yours.”- Audrey Hepburn

I’m super-excited for tomorrow because not only do I get to take the lovely Fi for her birthday surprise, but we are re-making our friendship bracelets.  I almost always wear the same set of bracelets on my left wrist, and they mean a lot to me, as all were made or given to me by super-awesome people and there’s been a notable gap ever since Fi’s broke!   Legit excited to have a shiny new bracelet :)

In other news, have a list of random things I’m happy about:

– plans to travel the world
– love
– skittles
– family
– hope
– apricot wheats
– sleep
– friends who are in relationships but still find time for friends
– hot chocolate
– giggles
– DVD box sets
– rollercoasters
– music
– when you think you’ve eaten a whole gummy snake and then realise there’s still half left (legit just happened and life improved exponentially)

Happy Saturday evening folks!
