“Happiness is not something you get, but something you do”

~ Marcelene Cox

Which is why when one has a terrible day, one ought to post in one’s happy blog!

I shall spare you the details, but as a brief insight into my day, it involved my first ever classroom lesson (with a class who happened to be a very rowdy group of year sevens), lots and lots of noise and an untimely and awkwardly-positioned rip in my skirt.

But such is life and there were other things to be grateful for. Like finishing my latest square of knitting, getting some positive feedback for my lesson (though I think she was just being nice!) and organising exciting shenanigans for the weekend. I’m terrified of going back into school tomorrow but I’ve wasted enough time these past few weeks pondering whether or not I can do this, so I just ran with the assumption that I could and got back to cutting out trapezia for my year nine lesson tomorrow.

And to finish, some calendar quotes, which today are a mix of motivational and pro-procrastination :P

“The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time” – Berntrand Russel

“Be glad of life because it gives you the chance to love and to work and to play and to look up at the stars” – Henry Van Dyke

“Never put off until tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow” – Mark Twain

“Wherever you go, go with all your heart” – Confucius
